Just a little vent...

Why do people who planned to get pregnant, do nothing but whine about being pregnant? HELLO, you did this on purpose! You have other children so this definitely isn't your first rodeo! Grrr! Just had to get that out there!

Let's try this again!!!

I'm a very neglectful blogger and I'm gonna try this again... Gonna be done procrastinating and try to do a blog entry or two every week!! Let's get some followers!

And we're on again!

Been too long... Mady is now almost 5, Sami will be 3 and Shyanne has joined the clan and will be 3 months... I'm gonna try and have a new weekly post so keep coming back

Rough

The last week was way too busy. Sami had her 12 month appt. she weighs 19lbs 4oz and is 29.5 inches long and doing great!

Then on Saturday Sami started what they called "breath-holding spells" which i think is a load of rubbish! She cries, holds her breath and then her eyes roll back her face turns blue and she passes out! The ER doc told Charlie that this was a phase and she'd grow out of it, they didn't look at anything other than what a ped would at a well check... wouldn't you think they'd be more concerned? Or want to check her little noggin, nope they didn't!
She did it 3 times this weekend and it sucked!
And then I had to sit down with Mady and tell her that her Nana went to heaven, and let me tell you, explaining that to a 3 year old is hard. I told my mom that I quit lol! She seemed to take it okay, I just told her that next time she went to Buddy's she wouldn't see Nana because she wouldn't be there anymore and that she went to live with Jesus. And leave to Mady to ask me if it was the baby Jesus... I told her yes and baby Jesus really needed a Nana and that Mady had so many ppl that love her and that He saw how much Nana loved Mady that she would make Him a great Nana. She liked the idea that Nana got to help take care of Jesus, but at 3 how else can it be put into easy words lol... hopefully it'll be a long time (a really really long time) before I have to do that again.

Long week

It's been a long kind of endless week! I'm so glad that it's Saturday but not glad that it's almost over! We ordered new furniture, we should be getting it about mid-week! I'll post pics when I can...
I hurt my new car, I made it all the way home from work on awful roads and then I run into a big pile of snow coming into my driveway... it sucked!
The girls are great, Sami is walking now and I can't believe that she'll be a year old in 7 days, I'm so not ready for that... will have lots of pics to post on Sunday I'm sure

Ouch!

I feel like such a dummy today! And I've had something happen recently that makes me really want to get back into praying more often and maybe finding a new church to attend! Yesterday I fell down our stairs, there are 13 of them and I think I walked down 2 of them before I fell! Someone was definitely on my shoulder! It was really weird.... We were heading down for the day and Charlie asked me if I had socks for Mady, I didn't so had to go back and get them, for her and me. They had just made it downstairs when I was coming down, I started down and still have no idea what happened! I don't know if I missed a step or slid on a worn spot of carpet or what but I was walking and the next thing a know I'm sliding down, bouncing on each step, I end up going down sideways so when I landed, it was on my left hip! It hurt but I'm okay, bruised and sore but I don't think anything is broken! But when I think about how much worse it could be, OH MY! What if I had one of the girls or what if Charlie and the girls were still on the stairs! It's almost like I forgot the socks on purpose so that Charlie and the girls could make it safe! I don't know, it's just scary! I will probably post pictures tomorrow

The weekend, only a little late

I hate winter and I hate cold! But with kids playing in the snow is almost inevitable! We went sledding on Sunday but those pics will come in another post

Christmas '08

Christmas in our house was busy busy! December in our house was busy! We finally made an appt for Mady's 3 year pictures and it's been almost 2 months since her birthday! So we're cheating and doing both girls at once, Mad for 3 and Sami for 1! The gils had lots of fun, Mady was really into it this year... Sami liked the paper.

It's definitely getting easier to get the girls together for pictures, but one is always looking the other way!

Our boring weekend!

Not too much happened this weekend. One of my best friends got married Saturday, I was in it and Mady too, so pics were hard lol! Have to wait til she gives me my disc! Mom had her Christmas but being a doofus I forgot my camera! But I do have some pics that I took before the rehearsal dinner on Friday

Our Weekend

This weekend was a busy one for us! We took the girls to see Santa on Saturday and Mady had a cow! She didn't want anything to do with him! Sami on the other hand just kinda watched and tried to figure out who the heck he was lol!

My little Sam-Sam and Santa, she was the really good one hahaha!

And then there was Mady... we had to bribe her with candy lol!

1 month later!

Sorry Britt since I know you're the only one who really reads this!! I have been a little busy. Mady is now 3 and I'm so ready for 16 at this point, finally potty trained! It only took till she was in the week of her 3rd birthday, one left and then maybe in like 10 years we'll do it again! Just kidding on the 10 years part!

Thanksgiving was great, ate way too much, probably gained weight but, ya know, it's okay, I have a big butt and I don't care anymore, I'm gonna be fat but I'm gonna be happy! Yay, go me! The Friday shopping was great! Didn't run into any witchy people until checking out in our very last store, yeah, go figure!

Christmas is in less than 2 weeks and I thought I was done with everything and I find out that my older brother, whom I haven't seen in over 5 years, is coming up for Christmas! Grrr... just when I thought things were great, I know have to do more buying that I didn't budget for! And you'd think that he could come see us more, he doesn't work and my dad pays, and he's never met my girls! But that wouldn't give me any incentive to make a trip... yeah anyway!
Can't wait till the girls open presents! Mady has already caught me wrapping clothing boxes and asked why I was doing it, I had to tell that Santa was really busy with all the other boys and girls and sometimes he asks mommies to help him some! We then had to load the wrapped presents into big cardboard boxes so that Daddy could take them to the north pole!
So now that this is settled I'm going to be on a little more, hopefully everyday-ish again!

Where do they get this (warning 1 bad word lol)

My 3 year old hears everything! Sometimes picking up on things we say out of habit and we don't realize we say: until we hear come out of a toddler! I'm taking a cue from Brittany on this and posting as a dialog...

We were in Wal-Mart's parking lot and it smelled like manure, living where we do that's normal. Well when we opened the car doors we hear this...


Mady: Mommy, what's that smell?

Me: That's poopy, Mad.

Mady: Oh! Is poop like shit??


I mean, come on how do you answer that lol! You say yes then she calls it that, if you say no you're lying! I tried to explain to her that yes it is called that but WE don't call it that!
Brittany, since I know you read these, does Adam ever get so caught up in what he's saying that he stutters and stumbles over the words? Mady does it some and I wanted to know if that was semi-normal... ya know? LOL

Changes!

I was thinking today how much has changed recently and how those changes are finally coming to light! My first baby will be 3! That's scary and awe-inspiring... I made it this far (some alone) and she's still alive and healthy and she's smart as heck! There's nothing that the kid won't do or try to do... not always a good thing! In a few years she'll be starting school... I just can't believe she's so big! And then there's Mantha... my little Punky is almost a year old and it sucks! I want my baby back, I want my cuddly little warm body back! She's still only got the 5 teeth but she's trying to cruise the furniture and I don't need another Mady to chase around lol! No pics today cuz my comp and my camera don't want to work together lol

I finally got to have my first beggar's night with Mady-moo... and ironically it was Sami's first time too! I got some good pics but then my batteries (brand-new, fresh ones) died so I was sad!

This is what happens when Mady is left alone.... sort of! You'd be surprised how much can happen when mommy goes potty or changes the baby or even goes to the kitchen for something! This little girl had the bright idea to put mommy's shimmery body lotion in her hair, well it worked kind of like a re-moldable hair gel, kind of like play dough hair! I could stick it up and then smooth it down!

Well being the wonderful mommy that I am... I took pictures!!! They're kind of blurry because I took them with my phone, but here is what happens when a child puts shimmery lotion in their hair!

This last weekend we did pumpkins! Mady's first time and Sami's too (obviously)! Mady would not touch the guts, she said they were ucky-poo-poo... our word here for gross lolThis is Mady, with the guts scoop... that was the only way that she would put her hand into the pumpkin.
